FAQ's

Where do the flowers you press come from?

Flowers are either supplied by clients (from special occasions) or they come from my garden or the mountain side as I'm walking the dogs! If a specific flower is requested, i can source it via my local florist.

How long does it take to press flowers?

It can take 6-8 weeks to press flowers - as I do it the old fashioned way and use a lovely old mahogany press. It can be done in the microwave, but you have to be careful not to burn them.

How can I get my flowers to you?

If you are local to South Wales, you can hand deliver them or arrange to meet me. If you are further afield you can post them to me. It's best to place them in box with plenty of bubble wrap and have them sent next day delivery.

What type of flowers are best for pressing?

Wildflowers tend to be great as most of the time the petals are thin. Rose petals can be pressed individually. Tubular shaped flowers don't press that well as they are so thick. Foliage and ferns work very well.

Can you do anything with my dried wedding bouquet?

I have worked with a dried out wedding bouquet before. It is difficult as the flowers will be crispy and break easily. Of course colour has faded by then too. But, I can work a bit of magic with some paint and perhaps other materials such as ribbons or pins to create something for you.
